The Annual Responsible Innovation & Entrepreneurship (RI&E) Conference is SOLD OUT!

The annual Responsible Innovation & Entrepreneurship Conference is hosted by the Lam Family College of Business (LFCoB) at San Francisco State University. It is designed to engage the I&E research community in thoughtful discussions on the latest developments in this field, workshops to support research paper development, and research ideation sessions.
The Lam-Larsen Fund for Global Innovation funds this conference.
The inaugural 2023 RI&E Conference includes the following highlights:
- Keynotes by Phil Macnaghten (Personal Chair in Technology and International Development, Wageningen University, Netherlands) and Doug Galen (Co-Founder and CEO of Rippleworks)
- Panel discussions with experts in the RI&E area: Zvika Krieger (former Founder-Director Responsible Innovation Department at Facebook), Jen Gennai (Founder-Director Responsible Innovation Department at Google), Melody Ivory (Founder of Thrivafy), Phil Macnaghten, Geoff Desa, and Ruby Lee
- Research Presentations by Carsten Schultz, Kiel Institute for Responsible Innovation, Toni Petkova, Professor of Management, LFCoB, Steffan Hoffman, Kiel Institute for Responsible Innovation, and J. P. Allen, University of San Francisco.
- One full day of Paper Development Workshops (PDW) with the editors of the Journal of Product Innovation Management (A* ABDC, 4 ABS Journal). Participation in the PDW is by application only. Review the JPIM Paper Development Workshop application process and Call for Papers.
- Opportunities for attendees to exchange ideas and expertise with peers and RI&E Leadership, Chenwei Li, Ian Sinapuelas, and Minu Kumar.

Day Two of the RI&E Conference features the Journal of Product Innovation Management (JPIM) Paper Development Workshop (PDW) and a Responsible Innovation and Entrepreneurship Research Symposium in collaboration with the Kiel Institute for Responsible Innovation (KIRI).
- The interactive Paper Development Workshop is led by the JPIM Editors-in-Chief, Jelena Spanjol, Head of Institute for Innovation, LMU Munich, and Charles Noble, Henry Professor of Business, University of Tennessee Knoxville. Attendees will need to have a paper accepted to be part of this workshop.
- The Research Symposium is led by Carsten Schultz, Professor for Technology Management & Head of Department, Kiel University, and Stefan Hoffmann, Professor and Chair of Marketing, Kiel University. All attendees are welcome to join this session.
