Career Paths for an Accounting Major

Accounting professionals first and foremost analyze financial records to ensure accuracy and to assess if a company’s operations is running efficiently. They will also prepare and verify financial records. According to the Occupational Outlook Handbook, employment of accountants and auditors is projected to grow 10 percent from 2016 to 2026, faster than the average for all occupations due to industries with economic growth as well as complex tax laws and guidelines from international business.
