Bicycle parking is available in the loading dock elevator lobby on a first-come, first-served basis. Please check in with the loading dock lobby security for bicycle storage availability and be prepared to show your SF State ID.

The loading dock entrance is located on the left next to the Main Street building entrance. This entrance closes at 6 p.m on weekdays, so if you wish to park your bike at this facility, you will need to arrive before 6 p.m. Be sure to use a high-security lock when parking your bicycle, even for a short period of time. Bicycles and motorized scooters are not permitted inside the campus facility. 

Official SF State business cards (250 cards per unit) are available for purchase online.

To place your order, visit https://commerce.cashnet.com/cobus and select Lam Family College of Business > Business Cards to fill out your information. Please allow three weeks for delivery to the SF State Downtown Campus.

Usage of the computer lab is restricted to graduate business students. Visit the reception desk on the 5th floor to obtain access to the computer lab. Please be prepared to show your SF State ID. 

  • Food and beverages are not allowed in the computer lab. There are no exceptions. This policy protects the equipment and provides for a clean environment.
  • Please log off after you have finished using the computer.
  • For Wi-Fi access, log in to the SF State wireless network using your SF State student ID number and password.

Public transportation is the recommended option for travel to downtown San Francisco on weekdays as parking spaces can be limited and costly.

This is the official SF State ID card used by students and the university community.

You may qualify for discounts through other entertainment or educational outlets, e.g., museums, movies or cellphone plans.  Please visit the OneCard website for more information. 

A print station is located in the Student Lounge, DTC 509 (print station is currently under construction).  Your SF State GatorPass allows you to use the printers and scanner.

Occasionally faculty members provide our office with a copy of a course textbook or course-related materials. Students can check out textbooks or materials for up to two hours at a time. Please stop by the reception desk in Suite 1230 to inquire if a textbook or course material(s) are available for check out.

When the building security systems are activated

you should:

  • take your cell phone and all valuables with you
  • evacuate the building toward the nearest green color exit sign
  • follow the green exit signs
  • keep to the right in hallways and stairways to allow access for incoming emergency personnel
  • do not use the elevators
  • students with mobility issues should go to the nearest emergency exit and wait at the top of the stairwell for Emergency Rescue Personnel
  • once you have exited the building, wait at the 160 Spear Street entrance for further instructions.

Earthquake Procedures

  • remain calm
  • seek cover under a desk or table: drop, cover and hold on.
  • stay away from glass windows, shelves and heavy equipment
  • do not exit the building as it may be safer to stay inside the building, unless the building threatens to collapse
  • protect yourself at all times
  • be prepared for aftershocks

DTC 509 (Graduate Business Student Lounge) is reserved for open study use Monday through Thursday, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Visit the 5th floor Reception Desk to obtain access this room. Be sure to present your SF State ID card to the the Reception Desk staff.

All other classrooms on the 5th floor (DTC 505, 506, 508, 510) are available for Study Hall when classes and events are not in session. Check in with our reception desk to reserve a room. Note: availability is subject to change without notice.
