Professor John Logan Quoted in Multiple News Outlets on Labor Union Movement
Department Chair and Professor of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan was interviewed by several news outlets and discussed the challenges in the labor union movement and the new rules in organizing labor unions.
Logan spoke to KCRW-LA (NPR) and said, "If an employer has sufficient money and the stomach for a fight … the corporation will prevail in the vast majority of cases. That's just the reality." He was not surprised about employees' difficulties in organizing labor unions.
Logan also expressed his opinion on the National Labor Relation Board's (NLRB) proposal. He stated that growing efforts in the organizing unions helped the NLRB to propose new rules for changing a joint-employer standard.
