Professor John Logan Quoted in Business Insider and Other News Outlets on Labor Unions at Amazon and Trader Joe’s

Department Chair and Professor of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan spoke to several news outlets about the bad blood within the labor union at Amazon and the union victory at Trader Joe’s in Oakland.

As for the Amazon labor union case, Logan remarked on the financial reporting documents of the union, saying, “It's not uncommon for young labor organizations to struggle to adhere to strict federal financial reporting requirements.”

After a Trader Joe’s store voted to unionize, Logan called the store’s pro-union vote a huge deal that “energizes a mostly grassroots, worker-led movement for higher pay at large corporations staunchly opposed to unions, like Starbucks and Amazon.”
