A report "Corporate union busting in plain sight" by Department Chair and Professor of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan, Ph.D., was cited at a U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions (HELP) Committee hearing held October 8, 2025. International Brotherhood of Teamsters President Sean O’Brien mentioned Logan's report on corporate union busting for the Economic Policy Institute in his testimony.

Logan’s report examines how major U.S. companies, including Amazon, Starbucks, and Trader Joe’s, have responded to recent unionization efforts. It outlines the strategies employers use to discourage organizing and analyzes how existing labor laws and enforcement practices shape the outcomes of these campaigns.
