Stephen Gillett will share insights on how the healthcare industry can use AI to make healthcare data usable, trustworthy, and actionable to significantly improve individualized patient care. Stephen believes healthcare's biggest issue is a lack of high-quality, connected, consented data that AI can use responsibly. Although hospitals generate a tremendous amount of data, most of it is unused, and Stephen believes this represents healthcare's biggest opportunity.

Stephen Gillett Biography
Stephen Gillett is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Verily Health, an independent precision health company whose AI-native Pre platform transforms multimodal health data into actionable insights, powering AI-driven research, personalized care, and better outcomes.
A proven entrepreneur and technology leader, Stephen co-founded Chronicle, the groundbreaking cybersecurity company spun out of X (the moonshot factory) at Alphabet. As its CEO, he guided the venture from inception to commercial success and profitability before its integration into Google Cloud. He brings more than 15 years of C-suite experience at some of the nation’s largest brands, including Symantec (EVP, COO, and board member), Best Buy (President of Digital, Marketing, and Business Services) and Starbucks (CIO and GM of Digital Ventures).
Stephen’s leadership has earned widespread recognition across technology, healthcare, and digital innovation. He has been named to Fortune’s “40 under 40,” CNNMoney’s “Executive Dream Team,” and the Aspen Institute’s Henry Crown Fellows. In Dallas-Fort Worth, he has been recognized as one of D Magazine’s Most Powerful Business Leaders (Dallas 500) in both 2024 and 2025, and named to the 2025 AI 75 list of top AI leaders in North Texas. His healthcare impact includes Modern Healthcare’s “100 Most Influential People in Healthcare” and the Healthcare Technology Report’s Top 25 Healthcare Technology COOs. Beyond the boardroom, WIRED magazine profiled him as an innovative Guild Master in World of Warcraft.
Stephen is married to his high school sweetheart. They live in the greater Dallas-Fort Worth area with their eight children. He serves as an independent board member for Discord and Dutch Bros. He is the author of the 2019 Amazon bestselling memoir From Simi Valley to Silicon Valley.
Stephen holds an MBA from San Francisco State University and a BS from the University of Oregon, where he played football.
Chris Larsen Biography
Chris Larsen is Executive Chairman of Ripple’s board of directors. He is a co-founder and former CEO of Ripple, a blockchain company he co-founded in 2012. Chris is a pioneer in blockchain and cryptocurrency technology, creating a global decentralized network called RippleNet that uses the digital asset, XRP, to facilitate payments across borders and financial networks. Prior to Ripple, Chris co-founded and served as CEO of Prosper, the first peer-to-peer lending marketplace, and E-LOAN, a publicly-traded online lender that helped democratize lending and finance. During his tenure at E-LOAN, he pioneered the open access to credit scores movement by making E-LOAN the first company to show consumers their FICO scores.
In 2019, San Francisco State received the largest digital donation ever to a U.S. university courtesy of Chris, his wife Lyna Lam, and Rippleworks, the nonprofit organization he co-launched in 2015. The donation established the Lam Family College of Business as a hub for innovation and entrepreneurship.
Chris earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from San Francisco State University.
