Topic: Know-how, Perspective, and Confidence in a Competitive and/or Cooperative Business World

This event is designed for prospective and current graduate business students, and alumni from our graduate business programs.

Come listen to the experiences and stories from Atour Malko, a Master of Business Administration (MBA) program alum, about the opportunities and challenges he faced in preparation for his career as the Deputy Director of Grant Management at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).

Atour Malko

Speaker:

Atour Malko (MBA, '14)
Contracts and Grants Manager, Deputy Director of Grant Management
Institute for Global Health Sciences
University of California, San Francisco

From a small village in a remote region of North-Western Iran to San Francisco, by way of Iran, Vienna, Austria, and California, Atour Malko's career path has always been a meandering one. Immigrating to the United States at the age of forty with a few years of work experience and a high school diploma as his most significant achievements, Atour was on a rough start working jobs that were not to his liking. However, recognizing his potential while maintaining part-time jobs, he embarked on a new education and career journey in California, a state blooming with diversity and opportunity.
