EDUCATION ABROAD:  Rennes & Paris, France Summer 2024

SF State students are invited to apply by Friday, March 15, 2024, to participate in a seven-week Summer Program in France to study Operations Management while enjoying an exciting adventure abroad!

Are you ready to take your summer to the next level? The Lam Family College of Business is thrilled to announce an extraordinary opportunity that combines academic excellence with the adventure of a lifetime: The Summer Program in France 2024, brought to you through a collaboration between California State University San Bernardino and San Francisco State University.

Picture this, delving into the vibrant culture of France while earning credits towards your degree! As a business student at San Francisco State University, you have the chance to participate in this remarkable experience. As part of your degree, you need to take the DS 412: Operations Management course. Through this program, you will register for a seven-week asynchronous course, SCM 3040, offered by CSUSB, which is equivalent to SF State's DS 412 course. You will travel for 10 days to Paris and Rennes as part of the course. You will then transfer the course credit to SF State.

Here's what awaits you:

  • Study at Rennes School of Business: Dive into the world of Sustainable Supply Chain Management, learn about European business practices, embrace the culture, and interact with business students in Rennes.
  • Explore Paris and Rennes: From the iconic landmarks of Paris to the charming streets of Rennes, you'll have the opportunity to explore two incredible cities, each offering its own unique blend of history, culture, and cuisine.
  • Hands-on Learning: Get ready to roll up your sleeves! Engage in a hands-on project, gain invaluable insights from industry experts during company visits, and be inspired by guest speakers who will share their expertise and experiences.

Program Details

Estimated Program Fee: $2, 815  (Program fee does not include tuition, airfare and personal expenses.)

Dates:   June 9 - June 18, 2024

CSUSB Course (You will take):  SCM 3040: Principles of Supply Chain Management (3 units) 

Equivalent Course at SFSU:  DS 412: Operations Management (3 units)
