Topic:  Successful Internships through Curriculum Practical Training (CPT)

This event is designed for prospective and current undergraduate and graduate business students, and alumni from our graduate business programs.

Come listen to the experiences and stories from Lina Perez and Arushi Bhambri, two current Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) students, about the opportunities and challenges they faced in preparation for their internships.

Lina is a Colombian Financial Engineer and M.S. in Business Analytics student from San Francisco State University with over 5 years of experience in data analysis, process automation, KPI analysis, and dashboard creation. She has supported credit risk and analytics teams in making data-driven decisions. Lina discovered her passion for Data Analysis during a 2016 internship in Credit Risk at a bank in Colombia, where she developed her skills in data mining using SQL. Her subsequent roles further enhanced her expertise in data visualization with tools like Power BI, Looker, Tableau, and coding in Python.

Arushi Bhambri (MSBA student)

Arushi Bhambri is a M.S. in Business Analytics student graduating in May 2025 at San Francisco State University. She has worked at Deloitte and Barclays in business valuation teams in India where she first solved a business problem using data analytics. During the summer of 2024, she worked on a business problem at Capital Group which helped the Global Digital Products and Capabilities team to identify trends in digital marketing that would have a deepening effect on its customers and reach a million dollars in Sales. Her current interests include performing A/B tests and build Machine Learning models to help attribution and causation problems.
