Topic:  Leveraging SFSU MBA in the Biotech Industry

This event is designed for prospective and current undergraduate and graduate business students, and alumni from our graduate business programs.

Come listen to the experiences and stories from Kimberly Samayoa, an Master of Business Administration for Biotech Professionals (Biotech MBA) program alum, about the opportunities and challenges she faced in preparation for her career as the Associate Director, Business Operations and Site Operations Lead for Merck.

Kim Samayoa, woman with dark hair, wearing blue sweater and white top

Speaker:

Kimberly Samayoa (MBA, '22)
Associate Director, Business Operations and Site Operations Lead
Merck Research Labs, South San Francisco

Kim completed SF State's MBA for Biotech Professionals Program in 2022. She has been known to take the path less traveled; after graduating high school, she joined the U.S. military, changed major 4 times, and attended 6 universities before completing her undergrad.  Kim accumulated a wide range of experience and her guiding principles have centered around the human experience and balance.  Her approach to work is deeply influenced by her experience as a scientist; an appreciation that that failure is part of the journey. Her favorite quote is a daily call to action, “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’.” - Audrey Hepburn
