Student Ambassadors Program

The Lam Family College of Business (LFCoB) Student Ambassadors Program is designed to help students train in leadership, where students encourage one another to engage in the competency development program. Students participate in Student Orientation events to welcome new students to the LFCoB.  Students also plan, execute, and attend a wide range of Student Engagement events. 

Apply to Become a Student Ambassador

The inaugural LFCoB Student Ambassadors will be selected in February 2023.  Student Ambassadors will go through leadership training on event organizing and marketing, peer-to-peer engagement and motivation. 

During April, Summer and Fall 2023 semesters, Student Ambassadors will be planning and executing student engagement events and Student Orientation.

My name is Emely Chavez! I'm currently a Senior majoring in Marketing with a minor in Information Systems. I joined the Ambassador Program because I saw it as the perfect platform to hone my leadership abilities while creating a web of valuable connections.

Rachel Chen

Hello, my name is Rachel Chen. I'm a senior in the Hospitality, Tourism, and Event Management Major! I'm born and raised in the Suburbs of Chicago, now studying here at SFSU. I'm mainly focused on the event planning industry; concerts, weddings, festivals, etc. Currently I work at concerts in the area and on campus as a Program Coordinator. So, if you're ever interested in working together or need to find someone on campus, I'll be here!

Singing Chen

Singing is a former bilingual teacher with seven years of experience at SFUSD, holds an MA in Chinese from SFSU. An avid reader, she reads around 20 books annually. Additionally, Singing finds joy in racing turtles and indulges her creative side by blending masala chai and roast coffee during her free time. Currently, she works as an assistant to the Chair of the Psychology Department, while pursuing an MBA, driven by her ambition to fuse education and business into a fulfilling career journey.

Hi, my name is Jack. I'm a freshman majoring in Business, Marketing. I was born and raised in Vietnam and have only moved to San Francisco for about a year. Hi, I'm Son, a second-year graduate student in the Master of Business Administration Program at SFSU. Originally from Vietnam, I moved to the U.S. in 2017 and have fully embraced life in San Francisco while pursuing my studies. I enjoy tennis, painting, exploring new cuisines, and I'm always eager to make new friends. As a member of the student ambassador program, I'm passionate about creating a thriving community for students, especially those away from their families, and organizing events that enrich the college experience for all. Jazz Tongson

My name is Jazz Tongson. I am a junior student majoring in Hospitality Tourism management and pursuing a double minor in Business Administration as well as Recreation Parks and Tourism. I am two full semesters away from graduation and I am doing as much as I can to stay engaged in school activities that will become satisfying memories as I look back at my student journey for years. I consider myself an ambivert but without a doubt know how to enjoy my free time and the company of others when I am away from school. For leisure, I enjoy traveling overseas, reading manga, watching Asian dramas, and doing outdoor activities. Aside from that I also like making new friends and learning from other cultures different from mine.
