The Innovation Hub (The HUB) is a 1,700 sqft co-working, maker and networking space on the SFSU Main Campus. The HUB is created in part by the Innovation & Entrepreneurship Initiative of the Lam Family College of Business. The HUB serves as a meeting, gathering, and ideation space for students and the SFSU community. Co-working cubes and a maker space are available during the academic year on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Events and dedicated programming space can be arranged ahead of time through the I&E Initiative.
- For FACULTY - If you're interested in repeated use access to The HUB resources for your innovation and entrepreneurship related courses and students, please reach out to the Lam Family College of Business. Whether it's for a class, club meetings for a student club that you advise, or a project/design challenge with your students.
- For STUDENTS - Please stop by HUM125 and see what resources are actively available, or use the reservation buttons below. If you part of a student organization that needs a place to meet, collaborate or ideate, please reach out.
Usage Policy
Facilities are to used as a part of an innovation or entrepreneurship venture or project. Examples of such activities include:
- Working on an ongoing class, IncuGator, or entrepreneurial project
- Holding a team meeting or working session for your company or venture
- Meeting with a business mentor, coach or advisor
- Brainstorming or ideating on a business idea.
Reservation Policy & Instructions
Unoccupied co-working cubes, office and storage space are available for use for innovation & entrepreneurship activities. Students and faculty with reservations, may politely ask occupants to relocate if their space is occupied upon arrival. All GatorMaker(Space) resources require check-in at the front desk. Please keep the Innovation HUB clean - clean up after yourself.

The Gator-Maker(Space), located in HUM125b, is a resource workshop equipped with the tools, work space, storage space, and technical assistance to help you build, design, and prototype.
Gator-Maker is currently available for prototype and MVP development, the following equipment is available for reservation and use:
- 3D Printers - Sovol SV07 Klipper; 2 Endr3 Pros (shared by the SFSU 3D Printing club)
- Sublimation DTF Printer and Heat Press
- CO2 Laser CNC (wood, plastic, glass) - XTool P2; Xtool J1
- Infrared Eye Tracking System
- Soldering Station Setup
- Large-format CNC Vinyl Cutter (up to 42" wide-format)
- Brother Electronic Embroidery Machine (Single Needle)

We have ten (10) semi-private sit/stand co-working stations available for first-come-first-served usage or reservation. Most cubes have power outlets. All have access to white boards and markers.
Semi-private co-working cubes are also available. A two-workstation cube, and a four-workstation cube are also available. contact the HUB front desk for availability.
The HUB can be reserved by SFSU departments, students and faculty for larger gatherings to the following layouts:
- 40 people in theatre seating
- 25 people in break-out group configuration
- 60 people mixed seated/standing presentation

Work Stations
Workstation and co-working areas are available for reservation up to a month in advance, but are otherwise first come first served. Reservations take precedence over walk-ins.
GatorMaker(Space)
Reservations are required for MakerSpace resources. Use of MakerSpace equipment requires passing a basic skills workshop. Reservations will be checked for workshop qualification at the check-in desk.
