Overview

Hosts: Professor Susan Cholette

After earning master's in International Business degrees from SF State, where they met and joined forces, Sean and Paloma has held a variety of roles globally in companies both big and small nurturing sustainable and ethically focused brands and have now co-founded a company called Future Fit Foods, focused on plant-based nutrition and circular packaging. In this session, they will discuss how their journey evolved, what the trials and tribulations are of growing a sustainably focused- startup and give advice to the next generation of entrepreneurs.

Sean Ansett

Sean Ansett (MSBA, '98)

Co-founder of Future Fit Foods, President at At Stake Advisors Ltd.

Co-founder of Future Fit Foods, President at At Stake Advisors Ltd., a Colorado-based circularity consultancy.  Sean has been the co-founder an advisor or board chair of numerous start-ups over the last ten years. He was a co-founding team member and CSO of Fairphone, the world’s first sustainable and modular smartphone. Previously, Sean held executive sustainability positions at Gap Inc., Burberry and Apple.

Paloma Lopez

Paloma Lopez (MSBA, '98)

Co-founder and CEO of Future Fit Foods, formerly Global Brand and Sustainability Director at The Kellogg Company.

For over 20 years, Paloma has devoted her career to building healthy and sustainable food systems, and creating purpose-led brands and programs for companies like Kellogg and Clorox. In 2020, Paloma launched Future Fit Foods to focus on convenient plant-based nutrition and circular packaging through a product line of mini meals called SUPPAS.
