Companies that lead on ESG are proven to create better returns and are more able to navigate challenges and temporary setbacks. Hear from an ESG Director how ESG can help drive greater responsibility and integrity in business through ambitious goal-setting, cross-functional collaboration and sound corporate governance.

Chris Librie

 Applied Materials Director of ESG, Corporate Sustainability and Reporting

Chris Librie is Applied Materials director of ESG, corporate sustainability and reporting. In that role, Chris is responsible for accelerating the company’s environmental, social and governance programs while communicating these to external stakeholders. Prior to Applied, Chris most recently served as director of corporate social responsibility at Samsung Semiconductor, Inc. where he led the company’s social investments and its regional response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, Chris led ESG and corporate sustainability programs at eBay Inc. and HP Inc., helping both organizations improve their ESG performance and reporting while achieving the highest recognition from leading external organizations including CDP and DJSI.  Chris holds an MBA from the University of Edinburgh and an undergraduate degree in history from the University of Pennsylvania.
