The Accounting Department offers a Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting (MBA).
The MSA program is designed to prepare graduates for accounting careers in public accounting, industry and government. The MBA program with an emphasis in Accounting is designed to prepare individuals to assume managerial positions in the accounting profession and business organizations. Both programs provide courses that can be used to meet the 150-hour education requirement of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA)
The MSA program is designed to prepare graduates for accounting careers in public accounting, industry and government. MSA candidates must complete at least six accounting courses. A maximum of two of these courses may be upper-division undergraduate courses with the approval of a graduate faculty advisor.

Master of Business Administration (MBA)
The MBA is a highly structured, yet broadly-based degree designed to prepare individuals to assume managerial positions in the accounting profession and business organizations. Accounting specialization and elective courses should be selected upon advisement from an Accounting faculty advisor.
