The Economics Department offers a B.A. and M.A. in Economics. We are a medium-sized department with approximately 12 full time faculty members. We strive for excellence in teaching and also have a wide variety of research interests in various applied fields in economics.

Betty Blecha Memorial Distinguished Speaker Lecture: Join us for the 2nd Betty Blecha Memorial Distinguished Speaker Lecture "Improving Equality of Opportunity in America: New Lessons from Big Data" given by Dr. Raj Chetty, Professor of Economics at Stanford University. Dr. Raj Chetty is a recipient of the MacArthur "Genius" Fellowship and the John Bates Clark medal, given by the American Economic Association to the best American economist under age 40. Date and time: Friday, October 14, 2016, 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., McKenna Theatre. Admission is free.
