Associate Professor Susan Roe, Chair of Hospitality and Tourism Management (HTM), has won a $10K Innovation Grant from the CSU system to develop an app that connects students to the Hospitality and Tourism Management Department. The goal is to provide an app that allows departments to communicate directly with customizable messaging for students at specific points (when to come in for advising, after the end of their first semester, when a guest speaker is on campus that is related to their specific area). This mini-grant could result in a pilot of a resource that could be utilized by other departments at San Francisco State University and across the CSU system.
