Professor Emeritus Donald Mar's study on the heavy economic toll on Asian Americans due to COVID-19 was featured on NPR's Morning Edition.

Mar shared that restaurants, retail, and personal services such as nail salons have been largely affected by the pandemic, noting that "those industries have been hard hit by the pandemic and they traditionally employ many Asian Americans."
