Professor of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan shared his insights on stores becoming pick-up only to reduce contact between employees and customers.

Some worry that pick-up only stores could cause panic in customers, but Logan believes that protecting grocery workers is necessary for keeping stores open at all. "We need to make sure that people can get access to the food that they need," Logan said," but if you don't protect the workers, you are going to have a problem getting people continued access to the food they need."
