As teams abandoned the court this week to focus on responding to the police shooting of Jacob Blake, they turned the National Basketball Players Association for guidance - but not all American workers have this ability to organize.

NBA players were able to mobilize quickly and take a stand because they are unionized - something many workers are not able to do. While many companies are working tirelessly to bust unionization, it is reported that nearly half of nonunionized employees would now join a union if they had the opportunity to do so. “Given the choice, people would join unions in droves," Logan said.
