Professor of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan spoke to Medium's OneZero about activism in the tech industry as firms seek anti-union guidance following employee protests at tech giants, including Microsoft, Google, and Amazon.
“The tech industry has always had this stereotype of these freewheeling, super-open work cultures and their liberal politics, but it’s never been tested in the sense of the type of activism we’ve seen over the last couple of years,” Logan said. "But arguably they are more anti-union than many sectors of the U.S. economy because they have an obsession with unilateral control of the workplace."
