Professor John Logan interviewed by MEL Magazine about the risks faced by families of essential grocery workers

Professor of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan discussed the ways in which grocery workers are not receiving the same protections as other essential workers, ultimately putting their families at risk.

Logan predicts grocery store workers may soon decide that their jobs aren’t worth the risk to family members. “It’s incumbent upon these companies that are making record profits during this crisis to mitigate the chance of passing the virus on to family members," he said, "which means requiring hand sanitization for customers before they enter and installing shower and laundering facilities on-site for staff.”
