Professor John Logan Quoted in MarketWatch Article on New Gig Economy Rule

Professor and Chair of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan shared his thoughts on a new rule that will negatively impact "gig economy" workers.

The U.S. Department of Labor finalized a rule that could benefit app-based gig companies while potentially costing American workers billions of dollars in lost wages and benefits. However, opponents to the rule hope the incoming administration will stop the rule from taking effect.

“[The Biden administration] will want their own rule," says Logan, "but would need to open that to public comment and of course that would take some time."
