Professor and Chair of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan discussed the removal of federally guaranteed paid parental leave from the Build Back Better Act.
Logan says this change is particularly harmful to low income workers who do not have extensive benefits through their employers. “The United States is just lightyears behind most advanced democratic countries when it comes to this issue,” he told Golden Gate Xpress. “It’s really shocking that even after having gone through the experience of the last 18 months that Democrats can’t come to an agreement.”
