Professor and Chair of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan discussed the results of Amazon's union vote in Bessemer, Alabama.
After workers at Amazon’s Bessemer, Alabama warehouse voted not to unionize, Logan spoke to Business Insider, The Hill, New Orleans Public Radio, FR24 News, and Financial Times (subscription required to read full story) about the final vote count and unfair labor practice charges alleged against the e-commerce giant.
As for the future of the union, Logan believes they will continue to fight against anti-union tactics and push for more equitable working conditions. “No matter what happens it has offered tremendous inspiration to labor activists around the country,” he says.
