Professor John Logan Quoted in Mission Local Story on Lyft and Uber Strike

Professor and Chair of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan discussed the PRO Act, which addresses the designation of workers as employees or independent contractors.

The PRO Act is “a sprawling piece of legislation that captures many provisions labor advocates have pushed for for decades,” according to Logan. Though it would be the most significant labor reform law passed since the National Labor Relations Act of 1935, Logan says the odds of its passing are very low due to the filibuster.
