Professor John Logan Interviewed by Seattle Times About Starbucks Union

Professor and Chair of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan discussed pushes for unionization by workers at a Seattle Starbucks store just weeks after a successful union drive in New York.

The Seattle unionization effort “is very significant because it indicates it is spreading,” according to Logan. "It’s not something Starbucks is going to be able to contain to these few stores in Buffalo.” He also notes the significance of this labor movement's location in Starbucks' home city, saying "people will be watching it even more closely."
