Professor and Chair of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan discussed the historic union vote at Amazon's Bessemer, Alabama warehouse.
Though the campaign ended in a "no" vote, Logan and other experts believe there are important motivations behind this historic attempt to unionize. "There's barely enough time for Amazon workers to go to the bathroom, and when they take breaks they're monitored at every step," Logan told BBC. "The pay is generally considered higher level, but it's the conditions in which workers are in that sees them not have enough time to take breaks, not enough time to feed themselves."
