Professor of Decision Sciences Theresa Roeder, who works with the Prison University Project, discussed how the organization provides support for staff and the incarcerated population of San Quentin State Prison during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition to assembling care packages, the Prison University Project and California Institute for Women collaborated to provide food trucks and serve staff and volunteers who aided in distributing the care packages throughout San Quentin.
“We appreciate your giving us the opportunity to do something positive in these crazy times," Roeder said. "Goodness knows there is enough negativity around to last us all half a lifetime right now!”
