Professor of Labor and Employment Studies John Logan shared his expert opinion on how to ensure the safety of grocery store employees.
In response to dozens of grocery worker deaths due to COVID-19, union leaders are suggesting stores ban customers. ”We either need to strictly limit the number of people coming into stores... or figure out some other solution," Logan said, "converting some stores to pick up and delivery only could be part of that solution." While grocery stores are already taking some precautions, Logan believes more action needs to be taken to protect grocery workers.
