Information Systems Students Receive Honorable Mention in Siemens’ Mendix Student App Challenge

San Francisco State University students receive Honorable Mention in the Siemens Global Student App Challenge

Lam Family College of Business undergraduate students Ashley Honn, Jose Martinez, Daniele Oriti and Bryce Rankin were recognized with an Honorable Mention for the application they developed using Mendix, a rapid enterprise application development platform that is part of the IT Project Management coursework (ISYS 663).

Through this course, students learn to manage and report on live software development projects, and they have the opportunity to puruse the Mendix Rapid Developer Certification and to participate in Siemens' annual Global Student App Challenge, which, this year, featured an application design and development competition using Mendix. Taught and guided by Information Systems Professor Leigh Jin, over 110 SF State students have passed the Mendix Rapid Developer Certification Exam.
