Decision Sciences Professor interviewed by KTVU about artificial food shortages created by COVID-19

Professor of Decision Sciences Ramesh Bollapragada shared a supply chain perspective on the artificial food shortage caused by the pandemic. 

“Those channels of distribution outlets are broken. They have to quickly find ways to satisfy the demand at those new outlets. Proper planning in a week or so, it is possible,” Bollapragada commented in response to the redirection of food to grocery stores and food banks. “The guys in the business are working 24 hours a day scrambling like hell figuring out to get the products to the right places."
