On December 7, 2013, Professor of Information Systems Rob Nickerson gave an address at the graduation ceremony of the IAE Nice (the Nice School of Management). The title of his address was Global Business Education. There were 100 graduates of the IAE at the ceremony along with their family and friends. The graduates were doctoral students and master's students.
At the ceremony Professor Nickerson was awarded La Médaille de l’IAE Nice (The Medal of the Nice School of Management) for his contributions to the IAE.
"I was quite honored to receive this award," said Professor Nickerson, who also said he had no idea he would receive this award. "It was a complete surprise to me." Only one other professor received this award at the ceremony, the retiring dean of the IAE.
