Inaugural Betty Blecha Memorial Distinguished Speaker Lecture

Please join us for the inaugural Betty Blecha Memorial Distinguished Speaker Lecture featuring Carl E. Walsh, distinguished professor of economics at UC Santa Cruz, and visiting scholar at the Federal Reserve Bank in San Francisco.

Carl WalshProfessor Walsh will address issues that the Federal Reserve faces with monetary policy at the zero lower bound and unconventional monetary policies.

The lecture series was named in honor of Betty Blecha, a beloved member of the San Francisco State University Faculty of Economics for 30 years. Professor Blecha established an endowment to support an annual lecture at San Francisco State by a distinguished economist.
