CoB Students Partner with Office of Sustainability to Increase Campus Energy Efficiency

Thanks to a de-lamping project -- the removal of unnecessary lamps -- completed over winter break, SF State is now saving 40% in electricity consumed by hallway lighting on the second floor of the Business Building. This project was researched and proposed during Fall 2014 by students in MGMT 855: Business, Energy, and Climate Change and in ENVS 570: Campus Sustainability. To implement the enhancements outlined in the students' proposals, the Office of Sustainability engaged in a productive partnership with SF State Facilities.

De-lamping projects continue to prove an excellent means of saving energy and of reducing campus energy costs. Many thanks to all parties involved for making sustainability happen and for paving the way toward a more sustainable future at SF State!
