Finance for Non-Financial Professionals Program aims to familiarize the non-finance professional with fundamental principles of a company’s financial structure. Advance your potential by gaining concrete knowledge of a corporation’s financial standing. Come learn from a dedicated professor in an atmosphere of like-minded professionals. This interactive program is designed for participants to learn the fundamentals and best practices of financial management. In learning the financial structure of a company, it becomes important to recognize and avoid common financial management statements and their use. This program provides a solid foundation and introduction to financial management as well as the latest tools for practical application in the real world. College professor with in-depth experience in financial management will collaborate with participants in case studies and team work.

Faculty
Herb Meiberger, CFA
Herb Meiberger, CFA®, is a lecturer of Finance at San Francisco State University College of Business and has taught courses in corporate finance and investments since 1982. Concurrently, from 1992 to 2017, he was elected to five consecutive terms as a Board Member of the City and County of San Francisco’s Employees’ Retirement System. Mr. Meiberger served as Chairman of the Investment Committee and Chairman of the ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Committee. Mr. Meiberger is a principal of Berkeley Investment Advisors, and manages retirement accounts and trust funds for individuals. Mr. Meiberger holds a B.S. in mathematics and chemistry from the University of South Dakota, an M.B.A. in finance from the University of California at Berkeley, and is a chartered financial analyst (CFA®).
