About Our College

Message from Interim Dean Yim-Yu Wong

Yim-Yu Wong was appointed Interim Dean of the SF State College of Business in June 2018. She has been a long-time member of the College and started as a faculty member in the Department of International Business. From 2000 to 2003 and 2008 to 2016, she served as the Chair of the International Business Department. She then served as the Associate Dean in the College from 2016-2018. As the Interim Dean, Yim-Yu is committed to achieving the College’s mission.

Yim-Yu co-authored a book entitled Global Strategic Management in 2008 and she has published many journal articles. Her research interests include cross-cultural issues, global strategic management, global leadership, and global sustainable human resources management. Yim-Yu has taught in the MBA, MBA for Executives, and BS in Business Administration programs. She was also a visiting professor in several foreign countries. Her teaching interests include global strategic management, global leadership, international business, and various other topics in this discipline.

Business Administration is the largest undergraduate major at San Francisco State. Approximately 20 percent of the undergraduate students major in business administration. The college confers about 1,200 undergraduate degrees and 225 graduate degrees each year.
