The Economics Department offers a B.A. and M.A. in Economics. We are a medium-sized department with approximately 11 full time faculty members.

Vision: The Economics Department vision is to be a quality academic department that provides best possible education to our undergraduate and graduate students, trains student scholars and fosters original intellectual growth through research.

Mission: Our mission is to prepare our students, through high quality teaching and research, to be engaged and informed citizens, and to contribute productively in their careers using knowledge learned during their study of Economics.

Economics Department Graduation Celebration 2018

The Department of Economics invites all graduating Economics Undergraduate and Graduate Students and their families, faculty and staff to a reception [pdf]. Date and time: Tuesday, May 22, 5:30 – 9:30pm, The Irish Cultural Center, 2700 45th Avenue, San Francisco. RSVP by May 17 and purchase reception tickets online (by credit card) at UCORP e-Market website, or in person (by check) at HSS 142. Online ticket sales will close 5:00 pm on May 17 - please purchase ticket(s) by this date. Cost: $20 per person / $10 for 3-10 years old.
