The New Devices Group is charged with developing products and technologies that will enhance and extend Intel’s product portfolio into new areas of computing, including wearable technology. The organization is responsible for rapidly turning brilliant technical and business model innovations into products that shape and lead markets. You would be an intern in the Strategy and Business Development team inside Intel's New Devices Group, which means you will be at the heart of the group where all the brand, product positioning and marketing strategy discussions are happening, future product go-to-market plans are being defined, and there is daily discussion with customers about the detailed marketing plans for Wearable Tech Devices that will be launching. Our customers are a combination of leading technology companies, starts ups from the Silicon Valley, as well as leading fashion brands like Fossil or Tag Heuer or Sports brands like Oakley.
Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt administrative nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school. Intern will be assigned projects in the areas including but not limited to below: - Develop new devices marketing strategies and launch plans - Develop product positioning documents - eg. for Intel Curie for Wearables - Develop Marketing plans for new wearable devices - Present these documents to Engineering and Marketing management - Meet with customers to develop joint marketing plans - Demonstrate products to prospective customers at Tradeshows and Events
