Position Description: 

We are looking for a Marketing & Communications Intern to roll up her/his sleeves and join our team with the planning and execution of a popular four-day consumer food, wine, and spirits festival, Eat Drink SF, taking place August 24 - 27 in San Francisco. The programming lineup includes food and drink tastings, classes, culinary stage demonstrations, influential culinary personalities and more. This position offers the right intern the opportunity to get in-depth in the SF Bay Area restaurant community, and to learn the ins-and-outs of the marketing & communications process of a large scale event (about 8,500 attendees).

We have an open position for an intern for 3 months. This internship requires full-time June 5 - August 28. As an intern you must be available the entire week of August 21 - 27. The intern must be 21+ years old at the start of the internship.

Position Responsibilities: 

-- Reports to Marketing & Business Development Director
-- Manage consumer & sponsor social media campaigns (Twitter, Facebook, Snapchat, and Instagram)
-- Track reporting for all sponsors social media
-- Track & monitor impressions for all marketing campaigns
-- Manage various web pages on the festival's website
-- Assist Marketing Director to complete various event signage
-- Participate in team calls and meetings where appropriate
-- Working with the city's top chefs and industry professionals
-- Onsite, this position will manage all social media throughout the festival, in addition to general support.

Required Qualifications: 

-- Is 21 or older by June 5, 2017
-- Has your own laptop
-- Highly skilled in MS Office and Google Docs
-- Proficient with social media content creation and strategy (Facebook, Twitter, Snapchat, and Instagram)
-- Extremely detailed-oriented and organized
-- Strong writing skills
-- Strong communication skills on the phone, in email, and in person
-- Passionate about the food/beverages/hospitality industries
-- Proactive and can work independently with minimal guidance
-- Can commit to full-time by June 5

Preferred qualifications

-- Familiarity with Wordpress preferred but not required
-- Restaurant experience preferred but not required
-- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator and/or Photoshop
