As an unpaid internship, we compensate you with the invaluable opportunity to have hands-on experience and develop skills to propel you to the next level in your career. And will work with your college to apply credits. You'll be exposed to event planning, marketing, sponsorship, and programming, among other things. Internship is full-time June 5 - August 28. Ideally, the intern would be able to stay on part-time for two weeks following the end of EDSF to assist with sponsorship wrap up. However, it is not required.

Position Description: 

We are looking for an Events & Sponsorship Intern to roll-up her/his sleeves and join our team with the planning and execution of a popular four-day consumer food, wine, and spirits festival, Eat Drink SF, taking place in San Francisco August 24 - 27, 2017. The programming lineup includes tastings, classes, culinary stage demonstrations, influential culinary personalities, and more. This position offers the right intern the opportunity to get in-depth in the SF Bay Area restaurant community, and to learn the ins-and-outs of the sponsorship and event planning process for a large scale event (about 8,500 attendees).

Intern must be available the entire week of August 21 - 27. Intern must be at least 21 years old at the start of the internship.

Position Responsibilities: 

-- Reports to Events & Sponsorship Manager
-- Work with the Events & Sponsorship Manager to ensure fulfillment of all sponsors
-- Manage the ticketing process for all sponsors
-- Outreach to and follow up with all main stage presenters participating in the Grand Tasting
-- Produce all production one-sheets
-- Participate in team calls and meetings where appropriate
-- Work with the city's top chefs and industry professionals
-- On-site at events, this position will work with production team to ensure cooking demos run smoothly, check in with sponsors to ensure a good experience, manage registration at smaller events, as well as a number of other responsibilities

Required Qualifications: 

-- Is at least 21 years old by June 5, 2017
-- Have your own laptop
-- Highly skilled in MS Office and Google Docs
-- Extremely detailed-oriented and organized
-- Strong research and writing skills
-- Passionate about the food/beverages/hospitality industries
-- Proactive and can work independently with minimal guidance
-- Can commit to full-time by week of June 5

Preferred qualifications

-- Restaurant experience preferred but not required
