The Dean’s Development Council supports the dean and the College of Business in fundraising, business and corporate engagement opportunities, and general promotion in support of the mission of the college.
Specifically, the council enables effective partnerships between the business community and the college in integrating business education with real-world innovations, developing a pipeline for student careers and faculty research, and developing sources of investment in support of the goals of the college.
The development council shall be comprised of individuals appointed by the dean of the College of Business. Every effort will be made to ensure that membership of the council reflects the diversity of the college, the campus, the region, and the State of California.
Generally, members are selected based on their status and experience as senior-level executives, business leaders/owners, entrepreneurs or community leaders. Each member is expected to contribute time, talent, and financial support. The Council will have alumni representation, although no set proportion of alumni is required.

Loretta Doon is the chief executive officer for the California Society of CPAs and Cal CPA Education Foundation. She has been recognized by Accounting Today as one of the most influential persons in accounting and has been named by the San Francisco Business Times as one of the most influential women in business. She holds a master’s degree in education from San Francisco State University and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Hawaii. She has an active CPA license in the state of California.

Eric Kelly is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of experience in the technology industry and a synergistic balance of operational, marketing and sales management expertise. He has served as Sphere 3D Corporation’s Chairman since July 2013 and Chief Executive Officer since the company’s merger with Overland Storage in December 2014. Mr. Kelly served as Overland Storage's CEO since January 2009, its President & CEO since January 2010 and as a Board member since November 2007. Mr. Kelly currently serves on two U.S. government manufacturing advisory councils and on advisory boards for San Francisco State University and the University of San Francisco. He earned his M.B.A from SF State and a B.S. in business from San Jose State.

Gilman Louie is a partner of Alsop Louie Partners, a venture capital fund focused on helping entrepreneurs start companies. He is also the founder and first CEO of In-Q-Tel, a private nonprofit venture capital firm that invests in private companies on behalf of a wide range of United States intelligence agencies. He serves as a member of the board of directors of the Markle Foundation and is chairman of the board of the Federation of American Scientists. Gilman is a graduate of San Francisco State and an adviser to the US intelligence community.

As CEO, Barry leads the company’s overall business strategy and is responsible for MobileIron’s day-to-day-operations. Prior to joining MobileIron, Mr. Mainz served as President of Wind River, an embedded and mobile software company and wholly owned subsidiary of Intel Corporation, from October 2013 to December 2015. Before becoming its President, Mr. Mainz served as Wind River’s Chief Operating Officer from February 2007 until September 2013 and as Wind River’s Vice President, Worldwide Customer Operations, from July 2005 until January 2007. From May 1999 until June 2005, Mr. Mainz served as Vice President, Corporate Sales Division, for Mercury Interactive Corporation, a software company. Mr. Mainz holds a B.A. in Communications from San Francisco State University.

Okorie L. Ramsey serves as the Vice President, Finance Compliance Officer & SOX of Kaiser Permanente.
