The Sacramento Business Journal (Sept. 14, 2012) reported the California universities with the highest CPA exam pass rates in 2011.
The data was collected by the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy for first-time takers of the uniform Certified Public Accountant (CPA) exam.
SF State students earned a pass rate of 57.6% for a rank in the top 10 in California.
The top 10 schools are:
- Cal (70.4%)
- UCLA (69.6%)
- USC (69.0%)
- Chapman Univ. (64.7%)
- CSU San Marco (64.4%)
- San Diego St. (63.3%)
- San Jose St. (59.5%)
- Loyola (58.9%)
- CSU Northridge (58.4%)
- SFSU (57.6%)
Other Bay Area Schools in the top 30 include:
20. Santa Clara (47.2%)
21. Golden Gate (46.2%)
27. CSU East Bay (31.8%)
30. Univ of San Francisco (18.2%)
