College of Business Associate Professor of Marketing Bruce Robertson has been selected to receive the 2011 Outstanding Marketing Teacher Award from the Academy of Marketing Science (AMS).
AMS is an international scholarly professional organization which offers a variety of conferences, special interest meetings, and symposia and publishes the Journal of the Academy of Marketing Science (JAMS), a top-tier marketing journal. A committee appointed by the AMS Board of Governors recommended Professor Robertson for the award which was then approved by AMS Board of Governors.
The AMS Outstanding Marketing Educator program was initiated in 1999 to recognize and reward excellence in teaching and to provide a forum for outstanding teachers to share their classroom success with colleagues. The award emphasizes long-term contributions to marketing education and teaching innovations that are transportable to other instructional settings or institution.
Professor Robertson will be presented the award at the AMS annual conference to be held May 24-27, 2011 at the Biltmore Hotel, Coral Gables, Florida.
