  • Review all the key finance and accounting functions to develop a plan for the prioritization of areas that need to be developed in order to build scalability of the function and the business.
  • Develop and complete regular analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial results; segregate by business line; compare to budget, etc.
  • Ensure timeliness, accuracy, and usefulness of financial and management reporting.
  • Oversee the preparation and communication of formal internal and external financial statements.
  • Oversee the accounting department and staff to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and functions.
  • Ensure that accounting is professionally and correctly conducted and reported.
  • Ensure maintenance and development of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures.
  • Operate in a multi-currency, multi-company/geography environment, with all the nuances of managing transfer pricing and intercompany transactions across the various entities.
  • Oversee preparation of month-end, quarter-end and year-end accounting statements and reports.
  • Manage and review all month-end closing activities.
  • Oversee cash management, investment, FX management and banking processes and relationships.
  • Coordinate audits and proper filing of tax returns.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functions.
Skills & Abilities:
  • Professional Accounting designation (CPA/CA/CGA)
  • working towards accreditation may be accepted based on experience
  • A minimum of 3 years’ post accreditation business experience with increasing responsibilities.
  • Extensive experience with financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting.
  • Enthusiastic team player who can manage competing deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Organized and attentive to detail.
  • Flexible and adaptive to change.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Microsoft NAV experience would be an asset
