BOMA SF Foundation Partnership

The Building Owners and Managers Association, San Francisco Foundation (BOMA SF Foundation) in partnership with San Francisco State University, provides support for several courses in commercial real estate. Students can earn a certificate in commercial real estate while earning a B/S degree in business administration with a concentration in finance.

Earning a certificate in commercial real estate from San Francisco State gets you one step closer to job-readiness. Exciting jobs with great compensation and many opportunities for career advancement are available in the commercial real estate industry, including property management, facilities management, asset and portfolio management, real estate leasing and brokerage, and building engineering.

Certificate Requirements

To earn your certificate in commercial real estate from San Francisco State University, you must:

  • complete four San Francisco State real estate courses (FIN 365, 370, 371 and 372) with an average GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • earn a bachelor of science in business administration with a concentration in finance


Three scholarships are to be awarded for the 2016-17 academic year. Each scholarship awarded is in the amount of $3,500. For information on how to apply, visit Academic Works. The application deadline is typically in the month of May.
