Contribution Title
Coordinating Demand Forecasting and Operational Decision-Making: Results from a Monte Carlo Study and a Call Center
Conference
14th Annual CSU-POM Conference

2002
Description
This paper demonstrates a technique for coordinating time series demand forecasting with the decision that must be made following the forecast. It is tested using both actual data and extensive Monte Carlo simulations. The performance measure employed to evaluate various forecasting methods is mean opportunity loss.
