Purpose of the Scholarship
The purpose of the Nikon Precision College of Business Scholarship is to award $5,000 in 2014-15 academic year to an undergraduate SFSU College of Business major at Junior or Senior class level with financial need who is enrolled full time (at least 12 units) with a minimum GPA of 3.0. The scholarship is available on a competitive basis.
A potential candidate must meet these qualifications:
- Undergraduate business major at Junior or Senior class level, including entering transfers, and current SFSU undergrads
- Enrolled in full time with minimum 12 units
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Students that have a financial need as determined by the Financial Aid Office (student must apply for financial aid by using the FAFSA form to determine financial need).
- Family members of Nikon employees are not eligible.
Amount of award
One award of $5,000 for 2014-15 Academic Year ($2,500 in Fall semester; $2,500 in Spring semester)
Complete the application form and an essay of 500 words on “How can a business be a good citizen in their community.”
Applications must be received in BUS 112 by 5 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2014, to be considered.
