Purpose
To award $2,500 per academic year ($1,250 in each of fall and spring semesters) to bilingual (Chinese/English) graduate or undergraduate SFSU College of Business or Economics students who demonstrate academic excellence and have financial need.
One scholarship will be awarded for Academic Year 2013-14. Scholarship awardees will be asked to volunteer at a one-day HKANC annual golf tournament in August/early September and join the event’s evening reception and dinner for networking. Awardees are required to submit a thank you letter to the donor prior to being awarded the scholarship.
A potential candidate must meet these qualifications:
- graduate or undergraduate business or economics major at any class level
- enrolled at least half time
- bilingual in Chinese and English
- minimum GPA of 3.5 for both undergraduate and graduate students
- demonstrated academic excellence
- financial need
- U.S. citizenship not required
Amount of Award
One award of $2,500 per academic year: $1,250 in each of Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters.
Application Deadline
Applications must be received in Student Services Center (BUS 112) by 5 p.m., Friday, March 29, 2013, to be considered.
